Dawson Creek is the zero mile mark for the Alaska Highway.
Truck is dirty I will explain later
All of us under the sign. Dave, Greg & Kate and the Doddles (Grace and Lucie), Maxine & Ron and ?? , and me.
This is the original or replica of the original zero mile marker.
Yep we saw animals.
There was mining along side the road and "LOG TRUCKS". This picture is of a coal truck working the mine.
These are two pictures of mud spray coming out from under Greg's trailer.
This is the back of mine at the Flying J fuel stop. We finally got the windows cleaned so we can see out them but the rest is dirty because we have more muddy roads to travel.
Helping Dave fix Salsa for happy hour. The other two units have been providing it so Dave suggested this one. It uses cilantro and I had to pull all those little leaves off the stems. Now I know why this lazy guy does not fix this Salsa.
I do grill on the searing grill though.
About 18 KM up the road is the last remaining wooden bridge from the original Alaska Hwy.
During pack up on 30 May, Dave slipped on the bottom step and did a tucked
and rolled to the ground. His Martial Arts training reacted immediately, so he
was fine. I was by the tailgate and hear him go down. I spun on my right knee
and it went out from underneath me. I could not walk, I had stretched the
ligaments and tendons behind the knee. Dave got Ann's cane and I used it to
just barely hobble around.I was forced to craw into the passenger seat and let Dave do all the driving. Thankfully he had some towing time under his belt already.
Now you understand why I believe drivers and passengers need to be able to handle any and every aspect of RVing.
