Walla Walla & Cle Elum

My visit to Walla Walla, WA was to hook up with Jim & Kristie and Greg & Kate & Doodles. This weekend was their Wine tasting time. Jim's sister Marykay and Ron live in Walla Walla and a couple Gram and Pat also joined us. They have known Jim and Kristie from their Mexican winter visits.  We went wine tasting and had many great meals. The four units closes to us are ours.
My beans on the corner. Well that is all I know how to cook for a group other than sour dough pancakes. Oh we did have them Sunday too. This was Friday, Saturday we went to Marykay and Rons for a great meal and again out Sunday to another friends house.

Nice sunset.

Monday the 5th we broke camp and I followed Jim and Kristie to their Cabin in Cle Elum, 2nd Chance Ranch. Our route above Yakama followed the Yakama river up. A little twisty but great road and scenery.

The photo of the deer was take out my window so they were less than 20 feet away. We saw some Quail and heard a Grouse trumpeting. Yep in the woods.
Jim and I took a ride along Lake Cle Elum. Very nice drive.

We went up to the river that feeds the lake.
Next Jim tried to take me up to to a higher elevation lake. We crossed this snow path and a quarter mile up the road we hit the snow bank and turned around. Early spring in the mountains.
Jim and I took their quads for a ride around the mountain top. Beautiful.
 Looking at Mt Stuart.

The white spot almost center should be my trailer looking across the ravine.
These are pictures going to and of the 2nd Chance Ranch. As soon as we got off the blacktop we went to 4x4 LOW for the last half mile pull the Monty up the hills.

Jim did a nice job on his newly constructed drive which was greatly improved with the crushed stone and dead ahead is the staging ramp to back the trailers onto the main and or guest pad where we are parked.

 Main Chateau.
Guest cottage and to the right is a nice fire ring. We did have a fire my last night there. Ate supper at the fire by the way.

This is a view from their property.

As always it was a great visit and great time spent with friends.
Next move is to Athol, ID.
