More Fireworks Photos

These are more fireworks photos from the Western Winter Blast, Lake Havasu, AZ. I realized there was a lot of movement on my shots from snapping the picture. So Saturday and Sunday I used a remote to trigger the shutter. I also use the optic screen instead of the view finder. That did eat up batteries but with two I was fine. All these photos are straight from the camera with no cropping or computer editing.
Here are Saturdays shots.

Sunday was my birthday. The Sunday show had a tribute to "Big John" one of the members who had passed this year. So I accepted the tribute to him and also for me.

Last year my Forth of July photos of the fireworks were ok but many over exposed because I was working automatic camera settings. Lou one of the Escapee photo buffs recommended and F8 number. Most of the shots had a three second opening but some that were very active I shot with the camera setting the timing. I am learning how to use the features of the camera more.

  1. Great pics John! We weren't able to visit you at Imperial dam as planned (saw you at the Imperial Date Farm) Hobo Bob was in the park next to us inYuma and told us he saw you. We're at the Hot Spring LTVA near Holtville, Ca now and plan to head up to Empire Landing Campground on the 26th. Any chance you'll be in the area? Dave and Susie Karkheck
