Coos Bay Oregon

I moved from Klamath, Ca. to Coos Bay, Or. A stop at Golden Beach, Or. had some entertainment as well as lunch. This dog would push this rock along the pavement/parking lot.

This old boat has seen better days.
I took these photos at Mills Casino RV park to give you a feel for the weather environment on the Oregon coast. Note the clouds and fog.

This is Dave & Betsy McNair (exnavydiver) and me.
Dave and Betsy left Thursday(5/16/2013)  heading up the coast to Washington State and then towards home. It was nice to have their car available for all our sight seeing tours as we traveled together. It was easier and cheaper to get around. Thanks to Dave and Betsy for letting me tag along. The white care is Betsy in the tail position.

I went on a sight seeing tour and focused on the wood/lumber industry in the Coos Bay area. The logs are staged to load on this ship.

This was another logging and lumber mill where they cut the logs into planks.

Just a view of the sand dunes which I did not expect to see in Oregon. I don't know why.

A chip staging location for loading on ships. They do not chip here but do ship them out.
This is one of the chip hauling trucks.

I went down the Cape Argo Highway along the coast.

I was instructed to have some photos of myself so I could prove I was there.

 Charleston Harbor, Or.
 Nets drying and being repaired.
Dungeons crabs and a good dark beer.
Dave enjoying the crabs with me. I picked and ate as I went. Dave picked and saved they devoured all at once. What ever works.

I move north on 101 tomorrow 5/18/2013.
