Trip from Fairbanks to Washington boarder.

July 8th we pulled out of Fairbanks. I missed a turn and went through the air station.
Back in the wilderness with rivers and vast beauty
All of us stopped near Tok for the night.
 More vast beauty.
 Oh yes a little rain.
 Back into Canada.
This portion of the trip had some of the roughest roads. I was only able to do 40 (KMP) not MPH for most of the 200 miles. 40 KMP is about 25 MPH. We just took our time and survived. Road crews are working on repairing the road.
 More vast beauty.
Black bear next to the road.
 Clearing up we hope.
Did I tell you about the rivers.
?? Lake for our next stop.

Ron and his wife were camped near us. They are hams from Whitehorse and connected with us via the great repeater network and three 146.52 remote bases also tied into the network.
More mountains.

Griz next to the road digging roots.
We spent the night in Whitehorse again so I could get Red's oil changed. Ray VY1RF was the ham off the network that greatly supported our trip. He is a true ambassador. We were able to have coffee with him.

 Yep some rolling roads.
 Fireweed.
Next stop. Two young men traveling on Bikes taking a break.
 Vast beauty.
 Mama moose.

Black bear climbing the steep wall next to the road.

 Into the brush and gown.

 Glacier near Steward.

Part of the Glacier.
Kate, Dave and Maxine under a cave in the ice glacier.
Back into southern BC and civilization. Also traffic.

 Road construction flag lady.

Train tracks on the side of the mountain.
