Moved off BLM now at YPG FAMCAMP

I moved off of the BLM today and have a full hookup site for tonight. Tomorrow I plan on heading north to Lake Havasu City, or Laughlin, Ca and then to my buddies in Logindale, NV. I plan on being in the Vegas area the month of March.

Yesterday David, Linda and I made a trip to Fischer Landing. My retired ID allowed us to traverse the YPG saving about 25 miles one way. When we got to the northern road we were near the Free Fall Parachute Landing Zone.  These are the Senior Students landing close to the stands and standing up on the landing. Boy they were coming in fast too.

The white canape's are new trainees since they are landing out in the open area and do land on their bottom, not standing up.

After watching the jumpers we went to Fishers Landing and had lunch. On our way out about 25 street rods pull in. all in great shape.

We left Fishers Landing and went out on the Imperial Dam National Park. The first picture represents a few of the RVs at the BLM.
The above is of the Colarado River through the park

Last Saturday I had 10 over for Pancakes. Sour dough of course. The new Electric griddle is getting a workout.

I had a great time with all out at the BLM and with mixed emotions I moved on up the road. I was ready to move but hatted leaving new found friends.

  1. John,

I know what you are saying about hating to leave.
In the past almost 3 months now - we've traveled to quite a few spots and met a lot of people along the way...

Quartzsite was a blast but the times we spent up on the Imperial LTVA stand out as my favorite. I already think back fondly and look at my pictures from there waiting for next year to return again.

Hurry up and get thru Havasu before those spring breakers get there or you'll really need a bigger pancake grill!

  2. Greg: I agree with your comparison between Q and Imperial. Although Q was fun, the time spent with new friends here at Imperial was more personal and rewarding. Linda and I made new friends here and got a lot closer to our new friend John. We spent a lot of time together. He gave me a new perspective to cherish my life for the moment now and to love those people dear to me while they are with me. Now who is going to feed us breakfast on Sunday morning? Yep! fond memories. Thanks John for your impact......
