MOC Q Circle

I moved onto the Q circle on the 12th of January and had a permit to park free for 14 Days on the BLM lands. Last year the wagon masters parked the RV in a single circle. There were some comments about being two close and also with the closeness a fire hazarad if a fire started in any unit. So this year they had an inner and outer circle with each unit staggered. There was more room.

They drove a stake in the center of the circle and had a long yellow rope attached. They divided the circle up into 40 segments with 20 on the inside and 20 on the out side mark. This did allow outside units to pull between two units parked on the inside mark, providing they had not put down their mats etc. My trailer is in the 1:30 position on the inside ring. I have two long dark streaks on the room, my solar panels.

We had some beautiful sunrises and sunsets.
On couple Jim and Kristie lost their spouse about 15 years ago and just happened to fined each other. Kristie's sister Kate and her girlfriend Jen visited them at the circle. All are widow(er)s.  . Kristi found a Chinese paper hot air balloon down town. She remembered some oriental culture sending it airborne with messages to loved ones. They asked me to partake, so I wrote Ann and J.D. name on it and she, Jim, Kate and Jen all wrote messages to their loved ones. We lit it and let it go. As you notice by the shape it happened to be a heart also. This was not planned.

The last shot is about 1/4 mile down and over 200 feet up. there was some breeze behind it that night.

As with all MOC rallies we had a pot luck dinner. Since loosing Ann I have made her BBQ Baked Beans with my touch. They have been a success at each rally and as you can see the pan is empty again this time. I have a big GRIN on my face. Left is the food line. Center my bean dish. Right the gang waiting for permission to attack the food.

These photos give you a small appreciation of the size of the groups that congregate here each year. This is just one area.

The ladies had two craft days. The first was making lanyards to hold our name tags. After they finished there was a knock on my door and I was presented with one. All the ladies donated additional polished stones to be used for one presented to me. What a great group and extended family. The second day was night lights.

MOC Q Circle Attendees

It is Saturday 01/25/2013 and I have to leave my 14 day stay on the BLM. I am moving south with Jim and Kristie and Greg and Kate to Yuma, AZ. We will stay two nights at an RV park. I want to do laundry and get a good flush on my tanks. Then we will move out to BLM in that area.
This was a great adventure.
