I road with Greg and Kate to the Desert Bar. You need to read their web pages with the history. It was an old copper mine that he has converted to a weekend bar during the winter months. The Weekends of the Quartzsite RV fest is their busiest of the year. Their location is about seven miles of dirt road from the paved highway. They have to truck in all their own supplies.
They have a small grill and about three or four US beers.Their grill is inside and up stairs. During this weekend they catered an addition food source. My picture is looking down on the Two Guys catering service that helped feed the crowd. Not all the cars in the center picture. I ate their Philly Cheese and it was good.
The owners must be making some profit in those three to four months because they are continuing to add on new additions. The Chapel is built out of steal. Actually most structures are concrete or steal. Their house is about one quarter a mile away. Note the deep walls you have to drive past to get to the restaurant or their house.
They are totally off the grid. They have a water tank for their Restaurant as well as two solar systems for just the restaurant. This was a fun adventure. I believe the 4x4 and off road gang enjoy coming out here during the cool months.
This is definitely a should see if in the area of Parker or Quartzsite, AZ
