More of Arizona travels Feb 11-20

After Quartzsite, I went to the Clark County Shooting Range RV park to visit with Dave & Betsy. Then up to Logandale, NV to visit with Don & Gayle.  Back down to Clark County Shooting Range where I meant up with Jim & Vickie again.  On Wed the 11th of Feb we all headed to Lake Havasu City, AZ, for the Winter Blast Fire Works demonstration. The Rodeo Grounds parking lot is converted into a Boon Docking RV lot.  We are about a mile from the actual Fireworks. The lot filled up by Friday afternoon.
Here are just a few of the fireworks.

We left Lake Havasu City on the 16th and went back to Arizona Mesa RV for a "UTILITY" stop.  That was a new word for me. We now us it to mean, dump the holding tanks, do laundry and refil the fresh water holding tank.  A utility stop is required after spending time off the grid (with no hook ups).
Next we went to Southern Mesa RV Park, Yuma, AZ so Vickie and Linda could have some dental work done in Algodones, Mexico.  I used that down time to wire in a few more led light strings in my cabinets. On Friday, 20th we moved to Scottsdale, AZ. Jim has a high school friend he had not seen in 15 years.

I was taking a nap when Armond showed up with a bag which he handed to me.  It contained a box from G&M Restaurant with Maryland Crab Cakes from my daughter.  Each year she tries to send me some since we both like these very much.  My birthday was early but Armond had the only know address where they could be delivered. Nomad life is tough.
That night Vickie came out with a birthday cake.  I like this idea of a "birth-week" celebration instead of just one day.

The Crab Cakes were delicious as always. Thank you Tammy.

We were planning on a three night stay at the casino parking lot. However, we decided to go to Williams, AZ.

We stay at the Grand Canyon Railway RV Park for two nights. We moved up 5000 feet in elevation to the 7000 foot level

The afternoon we arrived we toured Williams which is on the original Route 66.

This lady word in one of the souvenir shops. Brings back old memories.
