Since I am back on the East coast around familiar territory I
am not posting as I did when I hit new sights. This will be another catch up
post.
It was a great time at the 10th Anniversary of the
MOC National Fall Rally in Goshen, IN. The last day of the rally I was given
this eagle frame by the chairman of the raffle team. As it was presented the
whole rally present gave a standing ovation. My throat was choked up and tears
were running down my cheeks, I was speechless.
After the rally I went to the PA house and then up to NY to
visit with mom and my sister and husband. During that trip I discovered a leak
on a trailer tire. I found a rim was leaking from inside with no crack showing.
Tredit replaced the rim at no cost.
While at NY mom and I ate out many times. She was grinning from
ear to ear. It was great spending time with my 94 years young mother. She is
still knitting and crocheting. People are in awe watching her climb into the truck using a step to get to the running rail and then into the truck. She does great.
My laptop is starting to act up so I broke down and bought a
new computer. I tried the Apple IMAC but found there was no trip mapping program
that ran on it in a stand along mode. All needed the internet. That was
unsatisfactory for my type of travel. So I now have a desk top computer (thin
screen all included) and Windows 8. Still learning Windows 8.
Tammy, Mike, Tori and Andrew came up to Southwoods the same
weekend the campgrounds had their Halloween party. It was a great time. The grandkids
sleep in the master bed, Tammy and Mike on their double size air mattress and I
on my single air mattress in the living area (can you say full house). It worked out. Mom enjoyed their visit immensely and a good
time was had by all.
I made a trip up to Henderson Harbor, NY to pick up the
artificial flowers and hangers my sister put on the grave sites. It was a nice
trip and Joe Strumph (fellow MOCer) from Honeye Falls road with me. He use to
fish up there and mom and dad has their summer cottage there for 50 years. It
was a great chance for Joe and I to catch up and he helped with the drive.
Thanks Joe.
I hit the 30K mile mark on the truck and had the “major” routine service done.

The 1st of November I moved to Ft Meade, MD FAMCAMP
to be close to Tammy for this month. On the 2nd of November I had the honor to participate
in the Belt Ceremony where Andrews received his Purple belt from his martial
arts class.
On the 3rd I attended the annual Canned Ham (Maryland camping group) Thanksgiving dinner. This was the first group I camped with and learned the ropes. Umm good food and great friendship reunion.
Good to hear what's happening in your life.
