I finished putting the wire up in the tree tops at Ken's house (qth). It is about 100 plus feet in the air and about 2000 feet long in a big "L" shape with two rectangular boxes. Those hams that have used the sky wire loop antenna know it works well on 20 meters (14.150 Mhz). The first contact with 100 watts was Melbourne, Australia (VK3LB). We did a test with Ken's been and it was one "S" unit weaker than the loop. Ken and I are pleased.
Sunday morning was Sour Dough Pancakes, yes I am staying on track. Ken and Sandy liked them the second time so I made a batch of starter for them. I started it around 9 am and at 7 took a jar up to Sandy. I poured my starter into my jar but knew it was still working so I put it on a paper plate. Thank goodness. The Sour Dough Bloob hit both me and Sandy.
About 9 pm I cleaned it up and placed the starter in the refrigerator until this Sunday. This starter has been around since 1976 when mom and dad made the first batch. I have the directions if anyone wants them.
I will be here in the western Rochester, NY area until the 26th of Oct. when I head back to Goshen for a suspension installation at Mor/ryde on the trailer and some maintenance on the unit at the service center. Some where around the middle of Nov. I hope to be in Maryland to spend time with Tammy and family and friends.
