Last Day in New Bern, NC

I had a great time with Ruel and Micky. He and I had three days of fishing. The last was the best all the way around. Most days it rained around noon. The First two trips the fish were closed mouth and we did not have active time, we did not get skunked either. Micky knows where they are. With all the rain the Rock Quarry Lakes were high. The last day was just great. Fish were hungry and great weather.

The days we were not fishing Micky helped me install, on the truck, the wiring harness needed for my Back-up cameras mounted on the trailer. While we were at it we installed the needed mud flaps. Why truck manufactures roll the bottom fenders in so mud flies every where I do not know.

Wednesday Micky took me to the Memorial park near Camp Johnson. I took some great pictures and found the camera memory card had failed so we will have to do that again. I hate it when that happens.

Thursday evening 9 Aug I moved up to Jim and Vickie for the rest of the time. Jim has helped me install my solar panels on the trailer as well as many electrical projects. He has wanted to hook up water and sewer from his garage to the house. He purchased and installed the pump before I got here. I was able to help cut the 80 feet of sod and then trench the ditch. Jim rented equipment and let me operate it. I had fun.

Tomorrow 15 Aug we move to Longs, SC
