Southern AZ (Yuma and Quartzsite)

New Years Even a gang meet to celebrate New Years twice. Yuma, AZ is on the California boarder and each or on different time zones. I was not feeling well so I stayed in but at 1AM Yuma time I heard "3, 2, 1 HAPPY NEW YEAR" out side my RV which was parked at the Paradise Casino on their dirt free over night parking. This is off grid parking.

We went to Felicity, CA. about five miles east of Yuma. The population is two.
Jacques-Andre Istel are the creator and curator of the Museum of History in Granite. Please go to the link there is a wealth of information. This place is worth the visit.

Jacques-Andre was a Marine during the Korean conflict. Two Marines bonded. He took almost 45 minutes out of his busy schedule to escort us around. We even got a private tour of the Chapel in the back ground. This was on New Years Day and the Museum was officially closed.
I was given permission to ring the scaled Liberty Bell.

FELICITY STONE

2 January we went to the Valley of Names. People haul in rocks and write their name or messages.

 Vickie did theirs.
It wasn't good enough so she put a boarder around it.
The Ladies from the New Years Eve celebration had to make one too. Dave's truck helped move some of the rocks.
After they saw the boarder on Vickie's they had to add one to their creation. The men watched and supervised.
Linda added 2015 to her name.
We moved to the Quartzsite MOC circle on 11 Jan. Curtis and Stephanie requested our help laying out the circle. Jumping ahead this is the results. I am in the white Montana.

Jim & Vickie and I meet Curtis and Stephanie at the site  parking out side the projected layout. It took about three hours to design and mark the alignment points.
Here are the first three officially parked. We use a rope to align the units on the arcs of the circle as well as down the "straight away".
 A couple of ultralights.
I was able to reconnect with Steve and Nancy. They also did the Alaska trip this year and we meet in Haines.

Four of the Original Five pulling in. They started this ten years ago with just five rigs.
 They are parked in formation.
The official start of the rally with the meet and great.
The Original Five had nice coats for the occasion. The Blue just stood out catching your eye immediately.

Jim celebrated his birthday at the Desert Bar / Nellie E Saloon.

The last day of the rally we had one of the best sunsets. The Lord really worked his paint brush on this one.

Dave played and sang at the campfire.

This is a view of our circle and more of the area. Those are all RVs which were not there two weeks ago and most will be gone in another week or so.
Here is a YouTube video of our circle.
Al took my camera and shot this picture.
Safe travels all.
Next is Las Vegas early Feb and Lake Havasu, AZ 11 - 15 Feb for Winter Blast Fire Works demonstration.
