Then we walked five blocks from Main Street Casino to the bus stop on Las Vegas BLVD.
We boarded the double deck bus at Las Vegas BLVD and East Stewart ave. Note the Heart Attack Grill sign. Dave is walking up to the front door of the bus.
We arrived at Las Vegas and E Sahara St. The Sahara Casino, not shown, was abandonded and purchased by two Japanees business men and then the market crashed and it is still in an unfinished status. This was the closest bus stop for the North end of the Monorail.
The Circus Circus has a memorable spot in my heart because Ann and I stopped there on our PCS (permanent change of station) drive to California in 1980. We spent a night in Las Vegas and visited this Casino. I did not go into it this time but did shoot the picture. We were up near the Stratosphere where we would would catch the Monorail.
What a huge nick knack store.
Above it the Monorail station and below is a our train arriving to head back south.
Does this McDonald's look different? I am told this was the original one.
Our Monorail stop was at one end of the Ballys and we walked about two blocks through it to the pedestrian walk way over Las Vegas BLVD to the Bellagio.
Note the traffic on Las Vegas BLVD both north and south. Boy were we glad we took the bus and monorail.
I was able to get a shot of the light from the Luxor. It really lights up the clouds when they are over head. The light is behind the building in my picture. Do you think Bat Man can see it?
The blue lights on the Bellagio "lake" just caught my eye.
Our Son John David would have enjoyed the Transformer. I shot this photo with him in mind. These are people who preform for tips on the street. My Grandson Andrew likes Transformers too.
